Another of my duties as an employee of Roscoe High School is to work with the speaking events in UIL. The events involved are: Extemporaneous speaking (informative and persuasive) and prose and poetry. We will begin practicing for these events very soon after school starts.
Coach
The Roscoe Plowgirls are a very talented and blessed group of young ladies. I have the privilege of coaching them in cross-country, basketball, and assisting in track. Over the last two years they have made two state appearances in cross-country and advanced to the area round in basketball. During track season we had six young ladies advance to the state track meet taking third in the 4 x 400 relay and a state champion in the 300 hurdles. I feel very fortunate to get to work with these young ladies. Our expectations are very high this season as well.
